After a lengthy search and encouragement from Carl along the way Alyce Watson and Jerry Muelver have put together a new web based forum for the Liberty Basic community. This is an official forum for Liberty Basic begun at the request of Carl. I will let Alyce tell you all about it in her own words:

Posted Fri Dec 20, 2002 by Alyce Watson:

Hi everyone,

After fielding complaints for years regarding the yahoo groups (I'm a
moderator of lbnews and lbexp, not this one), I've been investigating
alternatives. I've set up a nice forum here:

http://libertybasic.conforums.com/index.cgi

It is not meant to take the place of Carl's forum, just to be an additional outlet for discussion. Carl is an administrator at the new forum also. Anyone can read messages. You must sign in to post, but it only takes a second. The forum allows instant messages, shows the most recent posts and best of all, it allows multiple boards in one location.

I've set up some discussion boards. If you have ideas regarding additions or changes, please post them there on the general board. If you have a special interest in one of the topics and you would like to moderate one of the boards, let me know.

It currently shows ads, but I've paid to have them removed. It might take a day or so to show up, so be patient.

Please don't post messages here about this new forum. Part of the reason I set it up is because there have been so many messages here
lately! Perhaps the more trivial messages, off-topic discussions and
social chatter can move to the new forum, leaving this one for on-topic
discussions.

Regards,
Alyce

Thanks so much Alyce for the information and for the hard work and dedication to the Liberty Basic community.

I have registered on the forum and visit it frequently. It is top notch and navigation is a breeze. It is faster than Yahoo and there are none of those annoying and pesky adds that you must avoid. If you are tired of Yahoo or just want another place to get even greater exposure to the Liberty Basic community, please do as Alyce encourages and drop by and register. Spend some time and make some friends.

- Brad
